Amerikan Görüntü Yönetmenleri Birliği (ASC), yılın en iyileri için kararını verdi ve adaylarını açıkladı. Oscar adaylarının açıklanmasına az bir zaman kala, meslek birlikleri ödüllerinin en önemlilerinden biri de açıklanmış oldu. Kazananlar ise 25 Ocak 2020 tarihinde belli olacak. Yılın önemli filmlerinden Parasite ve The Lighthouse’un aday olmadığı listede, Ford v Ferrari ilk beşe girerek bir sürprize imza attı.
